Setting up Outlook

If you see an E-mail Accounts wizard when you open Outlook, please skip to Step 2.

On the top menu, click Tools, then "E-mail Accounts..."

If you are setting up a new account, click "Add a new e-mail account," click Next, and proceed to the next step. If you already have an account set up and want to enable a secure connection (SSL), click "View or change existing e-mail accounts," click Next, and skip to Step 3b.

Click POP3, click Next, and proceed to Step 4

Make sure your account is selected and click "Change..." to the right.

Fill in each text box as indicated. Type mail.digicom256.com into both the Incoming and Outgoing server boxes. If you have an email address at digi-comm.com, replace mail.digicom256.com with mail.digi-comm.com. Type your full email address for the user name. Now click "More Settings ..."

Click the "Outgoing Server" tab at the top and click the checkbox next to "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication."

(This step is optional, but highly recommended)
Click the "Advanced" tab at the top, then click the two checkboxes next to "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)." Change the "Outgoing server" number to 465 and make sure the "Incoming server" number is 995. Click OK.

Click Next on the "E-Mail Accounts" window. Click Finish to close the wizard.

If you were editing an already existing account, click Finish again on the "E-Mail Accounts" window.

To check your email, click the "Send/Receive" button at the top of the main window. If you followed Step 6, you will receive a warning message as shown below each time you send or receive mail. It is safe to click Yes.
